Bruce has spoken about Darkness on the Edge of Town as his samurai album. He’d re-write the lyrics over and over again – cut them – mix them – re-work on them and then cut the lyrics to pieces again. You know all about it if you have seen the movie called The Promise.
I’ve never done a portrait of Bruce before. I never seemed to find my way how to do it. Well, finally I saw a way that might worked for me.
I don’t do portraits like the fine arts way - pencil/ photographic style. I don’t have that kind of a talent, but the origami/ polygon style of art is much more appealing for my skills and also my taste.
This is my samurai artwork of Bruce :) All shapes has been drawn carefully and coloured with highlights and shades to add depth to the image.
This is the real thing - no tricks - no tracing or filter actions in Photoshop. Every shape is created by hand.

I love the Darksness album - it is my life time drug. That’s why I’ve chosen that photo.
Hope you enjoy it!
